With a vast repertoire of contemporary covers and present-day jazz favorites, Present Tense Jazz provides live entertainment for discerning audiences of all ages. Selections by: Sade, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, Santana, Aerosmith, Nora Jones, The Spinners, and Steely Dan, plus classic "standards" and originals, are performed with style and top-notch musicianship.
PTJazz is flexible -- the band performs it's signature repertoire with with a trio setting (piano, bass, drums) for cocktail receptions, on up to a sextet for really stepping up the excitement. Our instrumentation includes: Keyboards, Bass, & Drums With Sax, Guitar, Percussion, & Vocals.
Additionally, "Smooth Talkin'," Present Tense's second CD, released nationally in May, 2008, and is currently charting on over 60 radio stations, television, and syndicated programs. With special guests Eric Marienthal on saxes, and Alex Acuna on percussion, the disc consists of 12 original compositions and the classic Aerosmith hit "Dream On." The CD is currently charting nationally. All engagements include 10 complimentary CDs for distribution to guests in advance of engagement (additional CDs available at reduce rate).
